The free plan does not need our servers. Your lists are built and kept on your iPhone, and speech becomes text on the device itself — the audio never leaves your phone on any plan. What we hold on the server is what has to be there for the things you asked for: a shared list, a scanned receipt, your household's purchase memory.
“Two litres of milk, bread, and something for Friday” becomes separate items with quantities and units — dictated or typed, whichever is faster.
Items group themselves by aisle, so the list follows the shop instead of the order you happened to think of things.
Big targets, one thumb, bought / skipped / replaced. Works with no signal at all — the queue syncs when you are back.
Up to five people add to the same list, and sharing is free on every plan — including the free one. Share by link or as plain text.
The receipt is matched against what you bought, so the app learns your usual products and brands instead of asking you again.

Speech recognition runs on your device using Apple's technology; the audio is never uploaded. On the free plan your lists and item recognition stay on the phone entirely. On paid plans lists sync through our servers, and the text of a request — never the audio — may be processed by an AI provider to build the list, in a mode that does not train models on your data. There are no third-party ad trackers in the app. Everything can be deleted from Settings, permanently. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
The things you do every day — opening lists, adding items, ticking them off, shopping mode, categories, sharing with your household — are free and unlimited. The limits sit on the parts that cost us money to run.

When you reach a free limit you can watch a rewarded video to unlock one more instead of paying. That never happens in shopping mode: the screen you use while actually shopping stays clear of advertising on every plan. Prices are in US dollars and vary by region; there is no trial.
