About this policy. HomeCart AI is a shopping list app. This policy explains what data we process, where it is stored, and how to delete it.
On the free plan, shopping lists and item recognition work entirely on your iPhone. We receive neither your lists nor your dictation text. Only sign-in data and an occasional subscription-plan check go to the server.
Sign-in uses Apple ID or a passkey. We store your name and email (or the private Apple relay address if you chose “Hide My Email”). There is no password at all.
On paid plans, lists sync through our servers; receipts (images and recognized text) and your household's purchase memory are stored server-side so shared lists and purchase learning can work. Only household members can access household data.
Speech recognition happens on-device using Apple technologies. Audio never leaves your phone. On paid plans, the text (not audio) of your request may be processed by an AI provider (Anthropic) to build your list; we use a mode that does not train models on your data.
Receipts help the app remember your usual products and brands. You can turn off receipt learning, delete all receipts, or clear memory in Settings at any time — these actions are irreversible.
When you share a list via a link, anyone with that link can view and edit the list. You can revoke the link in the app. Sharing as text happens locally through the app you choose.
We collect anonymized usage events (for example, “list created”) and crash reports to improve the app. They contain none of your list content. There are no third-party ad trackers in the app.
Settings → “Delete account” permanently removes your account, personal data, receipts, and household memory (for households without other members). Local data is cleared on sign-out. Deletion cannot be undone.
Privacy questions: homecart@veltora.biz. We respond within a reasonable time and update this policy as the product changes.
